    At first I thought of the 504 wagon, but from this pic it's not the same.

    I was actually thinking Citroen GS or one of the more obscure citroens, but I can't find any pictures that match.

    It's not GS. Those lights are huge, with the clear bit at the bottom, thick chrome surround, vertical inner face and the top amber part is almost triangular.

    That's great Simon, thanks so much. The 180 wasn't imported to Australia, was it? We only had the locally produced Centura if I recall correctly.

    That's right, and obviously the tail lights are different. I get the impression that the 180/2-litre is largely forgotten in Europe, perhaps more so than in Australia. Where most of the survivors seem to end up with a Hemi six-pack under the bonnet in improved production racing, turning out lap times that would make the original Anglo/Franco/Aussie engineers quite green.......
