    Default We've bought another frog!

In case you haven't heard, but my brother's decided to jump camp and join those funny Renault driver types with a 1986 R25 GTX

You can see pics down through this page: R25 being considered...

It's metallic blue with no rust, interior and exterior in good condition with the clearcoat only coming off on a small part of the roof. It's had two owners and done only around 230,000kms. It needs work - dodgy charging system, leaking steering rack, instrument cluster, to name a few. I suspected the transmission was dodgy, but after adding some fluid to it, it came good : . Best bit was the price - $800.

I realise that the cost of repairs may end up being over the value of the car, but hey, I'm used to it. When driving it home, I was impressed by how refined and modern it felt for an 18 year old car, despite its condition. The jury's still out in the looks department but I think the blue certainly improves it.

If I'm able to get most of the major problems fixed over the next week, I might be able to show it off at the inaugural Melbourne Go Kart Meet Here's hoping

    Cheers all,
    Richard

You've well and truly brainwashed me, but my brother seems to have got only the "French car" part of the message...
