I bet I am not the only one who looks for French cars when abroad! Often it is an opportunity to see some models never released in Australia.

SE Asia is an interesting place and whilst there was once a large French car presence now days the Japanese and Korean brands dominate.

Anyway, a couple of oddities from a recent trip to Thailand, Renault, Peugeot and Citroen "C8":

But here is what I really wanted to show you! In a dusty back street of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, I spotted a few French cars in a back yard. My wife has decided she wants me to restore the 403, which already has air fitted. Could keep me busy for a while

Well I saw an Australian built Valiant in 1973 in Greece. The clever photographer (Aussie) had approached Chrysler Australia to give him a Valiant Charger coupe, pay for him and a gorgeous looking model to travel around Greece with him taking stills and movies for future advertising. She posed next to the car and shared a bed to cut costs.

Just goes to show, bullshit baffles brains.

I looked at my mate Bazza and said "You stick to your sleeping bag and I'll stick to mine". The poor have no options in life.

Perfect place to take a Greek Mercedes really.
