    Default Christmas Break Excitement

I'm excited the shed should be finished by New Years Day

Today's excitement was my niece spinning out going out the driveway

Do you think it will adequately contain your neice so that she doesn't park the Falcon in the bushes?

What did the slab cost you? What about the portal frames?

Roughly $7k for slab, $14k trade for complete shed including three roller doors, another bundle for build up for a once in a hundred year flood.
You have got to love councils.
Build up is higher than the floor of my parents house built 15 years ago 100m north.

The concrete price blew out because the roof was too low to reverse a truck in, and the build up height too high to chute through the walls. So we had to get a concrete pump in.

It's still a very good price all in, considering it looks about 616 metres. With a raised floor you could always plumb in a P-trap loo to your existing septic and have a residential grade man-cave.

No wonder there never seems to be many cars on the road whenever I'm in S.A. They're all at your place!

Don't worry about the build-up, in between those 1/100 floods it will keep the concrete floor nice and dry.

Yes, you can never build too big a shed. I built a 10x30 and a 7.5x 12.8 last year and they are already full. Make sure you have enough access though, are 3 roller doors enough? I put sliding doors all along one wall of my 10x30.

You blokes are starting to make me feel inadequate.
My 6m x10 m shed is just an outhouse by comparison.

    Roof finished tomorrow

The build up limits the number of doors we can fit without additional earthworks.

The more sheets we fit the smaller it looks

A slab of BOAGS costs about $45.00 here. Maybe you are paying a bit too much for yours.

Icon14 Nice Project good for a lifetime of motoring/tinkering pleasure.

Sure beats my humble shelter, twoud be nice to have a larger shed complete with doors, and your two A7's outclass my single A7 but I do have a couple of American Bantams if that counts, yes serious shed envy, but then I am at an age where getting rid of cars/projects is the major focus in reclaiming the space I have.

The great thing is that whatever it cost, it should be there forever and enjoyed completely, so a great investment - wait till the rest of the family add more cars too!! Drive through shed door section is always handy and encourages at least keeping that space clear.

Well done, must be the time of the year with Aussie Froggers building and finishing sheds - Tassie, Jo in NSW and other works in progress all over the country.

Your forgot the green troopy to drag broken poogoes home with ..... and tow spun out cars back too the road

Nice one .... It's a shame my shed wasn't built up like that one (and the size of that one too). BTW: You will need another shed before you have even finished building it with all them..... Though lets be honest, the modern poogoes aren't going to be able to get in there unless you rip there bellies out by dragging them in with the Cruiser.... All the others will drive in no problems

    Troopy was my cousins.
We have to fire up the old Fordson Major tractor normally.

Like the new fit of the bonnet post accident?

I'm glad we got all the gravel down, given how wet the start of winter has been.
