    Default A Chinese Holden

The 2017 Commodore could be a Buick Park Avenue built in China by Shanghai GM, sporting a front wheel drive 4 cylinder motor. According to jalopnic.com The Commodore started as an Opel Commodore from Germany, but why all this brou-ha-ha about Holden when the true Australian car was the Ford Falcon.

Yes, but PSA has an alliance with GM and until last week, GM was a significant shareholder in PSA. Their global strategy is an important determinant of the PSA market window. There is every possibility that PSA will move under Chinese control in which case if these players remain interested in the Australian maket you may find a French company competing with a US company both with similar cars, built in China and designed primarily for that market. Worth tracking ??
