    Default vehicle storage providers

I need to rescue a Pug from being sent to the tip but I don't have any room left in my yard. Anyone know what the various storage places (in Brisbane) charge for say, 6 months storage?

Tough call... I know how you feel, very much so...

What model is it, just out of curiosity?

I have priced lockups... they seem to come out very dear. You might find a garage advertised in the Saturday paper in real estate for $20 or $30 a week, I guess, but the best bet is to just haunt around until you find someone who has a highset with a bit of room they don't mind you filling for the period.

Try some of the local unit blocks, there may be residents that have garages that allocated but don't use them.

This could be a cheaper alternative than some of the bigger storage places. You may also try some of the local businesses with warehouses and be lucky enough to find one that has some space that is available (remote chance, but worth a try)!

Hi Ray - thanks for your reply. It's that Pug 204 I placed an ad about here on AF a while back - plenty of views but no replies.

This thing doesn't need oodles spent on it to get it it on the road - it's a real shame as they're a great car to drive. In fact, this one would probably be better than the one I currently have on club reg as it has a floor shift, headrests, and a larger, gruntier 304 motor. They really drive well these things -pin sharp steering, cheeky handling etc. I wish I could save it. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to let it go - damn.

    Graham,

Don't send it to the tip, someone on here must be able to rescue this beast. Far too many of these cars disappear.

If you were in Sydney, I would take it off your hands!

I agree Andrew - particularly a model like this - very rare in OZ. Excellent little cars - one of Peugeot's best. If only they were released here in this country - they would have run rings around everything else on the road.

Surely someone on AF can rescue it?

I would love to Graham....but I am stuck in a situation like you, no space!!

Have you approach the Peugeot Club Qld, see if there is anyone will to take it of your hands....or someone there has space. If you want I can contact the president.

It is just so sad to see a 204 go to the tip

Well ironically this car used to belong to the president's in-laws (Lewin Partridge et al). It's not mine - it's one of Victor Bloxam's collection - the council is on to him and this thing is destined for the tip.

Unfortunately I seem to be the other one that can see the potential in this car mainly because I have one already and I know how well they drive. You all know how well 205's handle, right? Well the 204 is VERY SIMILAR - trust me.

All Victor wants is $100. I'd buy it if I had the room. Come on Aussie Froggers -surely someone is looking for a worthwhile project that's a little bit different. Give this rare Pug the pride of place it deserves. If you can't, then please help spread the word out there.

    Victor's?

I helped him out the other week getting a 404 rear end out of the yard... if I'd known the council were onto him I would have haggled over the price... well, not really...

    Which 304 engine is it?

Vic knows Stuart Cornford up in Toowoomba, could this possibly lead to a country property that has a little space to spare?

i would take it just to save the car and put it on club plates
at the moment though we don't have the time to get the car here, add to that we are moving house very shortly and trying to shift a car plus everything else is just not on the cards at the moment
my uncle had a 204 for a while but where it is now i'm not sure
i'd like to save it just for the rarity factor
someone please grab this car and save it

Just in case someone is reading this thread and still haven't picked up the emphasis that the car is rare, allow me to make it LOUD and clear.

THE PEUGEOT 204 IS A VERY RARE CAR especially in AUSTRALIA!!

    Cheers
