    Default Mea Culpa

On Monday evening, I made multiple comments on a thread started by another member.

Within those comments, I was denigratingly sexist towards a third party, and impugned their character. I do not know this person, and know nothing of them other than inferred by comments of the thread starter. In hindsight, they are quite possibly grappling issues beyond the scope of said topic. Kicking someone when they're down is poor form, and it's exactly what I did.

Nobody has placed any pressure on me to make this statement. Apologies are shallow and abused items frequently; I assure the third party that ill-will is purged, and offer a resolve to conduct myself better in future.

    Good work.
I know only too well how hard it is to say sorry because I constantly put my foot in it in the heat of the moment, and then apologise when i realise that 'I've done it again.'
Don't know who you are referring to, and it's nothing to do with me although I did get mixed up in a thread of yours, and also unwittingly upset somebody.I echo your sentiments.
I might act like an idiot, and I might look like an idiot, but don't let that fool you: I really AM an idiot!

I missed the whole business.....but its encouraging to see someone apologize for writing something they later perceived as wrong or hurtful,or said without sufficient information.Good on you Addo.....kind regards ....Pugs

Nah, that's a step too far.
    What would it mean anyway?

Icon14 Well done Addo, sign of a true gentleman !!

Beware Addo, this might be the first sign of grumpy old man syndrome, even the realisation and apology is the sign of the gentleman style of the GOM!! And you are still young, even if patrick thinks otherwise!!

Always good to have a rethink....

Water under the bridge now mate!!

Yeah I was a (silent) whitness to the whole thing and there were more froggers involved than just you mate..good of you to man up and appologise tho, that's a nice quality to have.
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.
