It started first pop with a borrowed battery..just love diesel, btw I used to get 8l per 100kn around town, abt 7-800km per tank.

It has done around 350k and is in very good, I would say very close to immaculate body and interior condition. It is not a knocked around family hack.

It was retired in 2010 when the return LHM line started to leak, the registration ran out, the brakes and tyres were close to being needed, and the rear spheres suddenly went hard. I had no need immediate need for the car anyway owing to retirement and kept it as a project as I love the car. Oh the usual heater fan issue as well..

I bought a dead 2.0i auto for parts and as a plaything to get practice on repairs to the TurboD.

The auto was dead because of blown motor, but the car is in quite good body and interior condition but not as nice as the Turbo D.

Because of externalites, the Xantias are now off the "to do" list and are now offered for sale.

Offers are now being invited for both cars and will be considered provided scrap value is exceed.

Ideally they should be gone within the next week and will need to be picked up from Carrum Downs in Victoria, 3201. They will both have to be transported, and no batteries are included, although the TurboD can be driven.

I would prefer they go as a pair as they are both white and from the same year, so there is lots of interchangeable stuff, good insurance..

Aussiefroggers are being given the first opportunity, but if no substantive response is received with a week then I will put them on ebay.

This car was restored in 2007 by Salman Chaudry many of you may know the car. its a very very good example if i may say probably one of the best you'll find around.

Has brand new Old Stock leather interior. The Carpets, dash, instruments are basically perfect. Sunroof works perfectly as does all of the electrics.

All the door rubbers & surrounds were renewed, is very quiet and smooth on the road as 604's are.
Exterior Paint & chrome work is in excellent condition, all bright-work is polished with lights & lenses in excellent condition.

Suspension, Bushes, Shocks & brakes have recently been replaced and reconditioned.

A/C works and is ice-cold.

I purchased the car with a blown head-gasket, so i have returned her back to life with a very good 2850cc Bosch Injected Motor the only way too go really, It makes such an improvement to the performance & overall driveability, the torque increase is very very nice and suddenly you can cruise around with ease instead of having your foot flat too the floor all the time. Runs perfectly cool on a hot summers day with no overheating issues at all. A truly delightful car to drive. $6500 and its yours.
