Default IKONOTO - your DS in blueprint form.

A friend in Sydney recently showed me a calendar featuring the DS.
Not your usual photos of different models, but blueprint like images, crisp, sharp and clear with perfect renditions of the original colours.

    I was pointed to www.ikonoto.com

    http://s356612901.e-shop.info/shop/page/15?shop_param=

There I found on offer huge prints for the sedan and safari covering every model combination and colour. Cool, best have one of those for the Safari.

Then I found the ultimate service. Your own car, blue printed, complete with everything you have on the car, stickers, special bits, tyre brand and size, you name it.

Then it is shadowed, reflections, every nuance.

The owner, Pascal Bertrand is a passionate enthusiast, who knows what even a OCD person like myself requests. Pascal and I emailed for about 10 days to have all the details exactly as I requested. It would've taken less time if I managed to get the tyre type correct (Pascal had it right!) and another detail for a decal and the little bibendum sitting on the dashboard.

My examples arrived yesterday, I ordered one with the shading and reflections and one without, those who know me would understand why.

If you look in the GARAGE section you'll see the detail of the Safari.
Greenblood will help me with an image or two, he helped me through the process as a judge for anything I might miss.

If you really love your DS or CX for that matter and would like the absolute definitive print of your car in blueprint style, then visit IKONOTO.
Pascal is friendly, corresponds in English perfectly and is a thorough gentleman.

This is a shameless plug for what I consider to be a perfect product.

    Very impressive...

Note the customised detail making each print unique, Richo has a Bibendum on his dashboard, stickers and placement on the front and rear glass etc.

    Original photo

Full rendered print [this is low res image - the original is superb]

Cropped detail, again low res to keep to AF maximum file size.

    Cheers

These look fantastic - are they posted in a tube? Or do you have to print them off yourself? Did you mean to miss off the registration sticker?

Posted in a tube, there's not many people who have a printer capable of managing 50cm x 70cm on 250gm paper.

Registration sticker not important and changes from year to year.
    Hope this helps.

Impertinent of me but is there a very large single strut on safari rear doors or is that a roll bar behind the driver?

There is a large strut on the right side of the tail gate, it contains a spring and keeps the tail gate up when extended and engaged by a clip. The button of the clip is also detailed.

    Richo/Chris,

Absolutely amazing details and such finesse. So who did all the graphics/art work of the personal/individual details on the enlarged sections of the car? Pascal or you guys? I just love it. We own a '60 RHD export Break, with the odd variation here and there and this would be brilliant to pick out such details. Then we would need to decide wich numberplate: the original Oz plate, Dutch or Pom...

    Cheers,

    Bernard

    Bernard,
Pascal is the man. I provided close-ups of things like the decals and bibendum, Pascal did the rest.
We emailed back and forth to be certain all was as desired.
There are other nuances Pascal can include or delete when you make your order.

    cheers

Following Richo's intro, I have been in touch with Pascal Bertrand and he's created a wonderful image of our '60 Break. Incredibly detailed and he's been able to incorporate all the changes, improvements etc, which we have made over the many, many years of ownership. To think that we changed the front and rear rubbers to grey and fitted a heated rear window over 40 years ago! I am currently restoring the car, which is in its last phase. We shall be back in the UK later this year and shall be pleased to share the progress sofar.

    Cheers,

    Bernard

Not very accurate, as the posters don't include rust in the lower doors and LHM pooling underneath.

On a more positive note, I'll order a model series one tonight
