    Default DS paint app.

    Hi all

just when you thought it was safe I've downloaded a photo app. that lets me create my own DS colour scheme.. oh my God! now, I'm no graphic artist but trying to imagine the car with red interior and white roof and various body colours isn't easy.. having to rely on pics from other sites has it's limits.

So, here's an original car pic, red on red

and here it is after I've masked it off and changed the hues

here's another looking inside, again the original

    then the tweak

God knows where this is going to end up!! Mwwwaaaaahahahahaha!!!!

Which version of photo wizard can do that Matthew? I had a search and there are a few for free download.
I'd like to see how my GS would look in red!

The only treatment is to be locked away with the Reynolds book and no internet. Several re- reads and you will learn to love Ds in the colour they came from the factory.

It has worked a treat on me. I LOVE Gris Kandahar (AC 133) and if I was lucky enough to own a '73 - 75 Pallas it would be Beige Tholonet with Caramel interior.

Original stays original in my book. If you are talking about your ID, don't touch it. It is beautiful in that lovely salmon pink.

It is true, all the factory colours look good on a D. I am of the opinion though that they look best in a colour appropriate to the year of manufacture.

Here is a little video to help convince:

Is that Vert Printemps or a sample colour? Looks a bit darker than that colour.. but gorgeous either way. The solid colours have a lot going for them.

    Meanwhile....back at the photo lab...

    Porsche mint green anyone?

Did my best to match it

    Richo..

As my mother would say...."now look you!". My theory is if I live with these colours long enough, by the time I've come down from the clouds with each new discovery, then the colour of choice will present itself.. last man standing kind of thing. I'm in a Sunbeam Mixmaster retro green mood at the moment. Pray for me.... someone....

That pic has kinda become a template as it has the white roof and red seats in it I'm afraid. You should have seen what I did with Gris Ceil Lourde...

Hmmm... must be time for some more Gyoza.

Bibendum sticker has come up trumps btw.. fabulous.

The soft green pastel of the Sunbeam Mixmaster era is (my opinion only) wasn't for the third front cars, more suited to the earlier more benign shaped 1st and 2nd front, single headlamp cars.

I'm trying not to visualise you with Gris Ciel Lourde or how you used your new toy.
Good thing you're not applying lippy... you'd be a candidate for the electric hair and wavy eye set ;-)
However, your colouring in is improving.

We're all praying for you mate ;-)

    Go the dumplings....
    do they compare to Beijing/Shanghai?

    Yep that the car.
    It not a Citroen colour.
I was talked out of having the 1970 drab green colour that was Citroen.

I feel better already! There is a noodle place down the road called "Student Noodle".. just past the "Fancy Hair Makes" hair salon... they have this dish... Shi Sen Men.. it's red chilly pepper noodle soup... it is to ****ing die for!! coupled with a side plate of crispy Gyoza (pot stickers to the yanks on the forum).. you can't find better anywhere!! breakfast lunch and toeea!

BTW.. talk about manifestation... that Porsche colour is not a Citroen hue... but low and behold I find this...

Light a candle... then start a Novena... I'll start... hail Mary full of grace.....

    Matthew

If I wasn't obsessed with collecting DS parts, I'd collect these... one in every colour..

Gimme the Alfa behind it, they're ready to race.
    And...I like Aeroplane Jelly.
    Is that a prayer?

As far as blue goes, that one is a beauty. TOP 3rd front colour.
