    Default DS23 Auto throttle cable

    The outer part of the throttle cable on my DS23 IE Automatic kind of crumbled, so I ordered a DS23 IE cable from Europe and went to fit it and it seems the DS23 IE manual and the DS23 IE Auto have different cable ends.

    The throtle cable for the manual cable is completly different to the one for the Automatic.

    In a rush to put it in I did not take any pictures (Sorry)

    Anyway, I just wanted to pass on I found a place in Sydney that does cable repairs and sent it off on Tuesday and it came back on Friday (Yes, same week) in it is just perfect.
    Cost $33.00 plus express post.

    I thought there were two cables on an auto? One for go and one for kick down.

    Yes there are two.
    The Kick down cable attaches to the throttle return spring support.

    I found I had taken pictures to send to Darrin in the UK and here they are;

    The cable with the big loop connecter is for the DS (I think 21 and 23) IE manual Gearbox

    The other cable is from my DS23 IE Auto, this shows both cable ends.
    NOTE! the end of the outer cable is also different.

    The third photo shows the spring loaded end which fits on to the end of the cable.

    Cheers

    I forgot to mention I have the new IE throttle cable with the big loop on the end for the manual IE DS if anyone want one it cost me 36pounds plus freight (total Aust$65.00) will sell for Aust$40.00 it has not been fitted or dirty.
