    Default Lhm & LDS

Most of you know we've stocked LHM for years in 1 litre bottles.

Ahhh, but the daughter evidently leads a more plural existence.

Plural existence? Isn't polygamy part of the LDS culture?

I pity the dyslexic exporter who puts "LSD" on the bill of lading, whenever it eventually happens.

Of course Lou, you know to never mix LHM and LDS? Unless you like mayonaise in your car's hydraulic system.

That's about right Dave, last time I purchased at $35.00ltr, hope you are still making a few

Having said that I've used 1ltr in 10 years so you won't retire on the proceeds

    Cheers

    "Dťesse" Roland Barthes, 'Mythologies', 1957

The Dťesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Dťesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.

I don't expect to sell much C5's don't seem to drip like LHM cars. What a pity.
I was reluctant to stock any but I did get asked for some last week so maybe they are getting to that age.
I only got a few just to see how they go.

This is probably a good place to repeat the warning about not overfilling the LDS reservoir in a C5 or C6. With pre-LDS cars, you put the suspension to high and top it up. With the C5 and C6, do NOT do this or you run the risk of overfilling the reservoir and splitting it. If it looks bloated, release the pressure. Technically, you are supposed to check the level after de-pressurising the system using Proxia/Lexia/DiagBox, but most DIY-ers won't have this. So, set it to low and top up to about the seam in the reservoir is approximately right.

LHM and LDS should not be mixed, but they do seem miscible enough for the car to still function. I have seen one C5 where the owner topped it up with LHM and kept driving for some months with no immediate problem. I don't know what ultimately happened to that car, but it certainly wasn't an instant disaster. Brake fluid would have been another (and quite expensive) matter though!

Means more than one hydraulic leak at a time?
