    Default After market parking sensors

    Hi all

I have recently purhcased a new (actually used, but it looks like new ) C4 2007 hatch and I am thinking of getting parking sensors (rear and possibly front) installed.

(Sorry in advance for all the questions I will most likely be posting initially, hopefully I'll be able to make contributions to the forums in the futrue)

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go and what prices to expect (in Melbourne)?

I know I can just google places but I am keen to here recommendations. I don't want to go somewhere that doesn't know what there doing and end up with extra holes in my bumper or sensors that don't work properly. I also know european cars can often be tricky to work on and I am worried about someone stuffing up the wiring by cutting into things they shouldn't be.

    Cheers
    Ted

I installed such a system in a 1995 Xantia, but would be loathe to recommend it for a C4 due to the multiplex wiring.

Assuming that some C4 variants did have parking sensors, start looking around for a wreck and see what can be retrieved and fitted onto yours.

Yeah, I was worried about the wiring.

I'm pretty sure the C4 did come parking sensors as a factory option. However, I am not too confident with trying to retrieve such a thing from a wreck. Though I can always learn.

I'm fairly keen to get them soon as I have come from a car with parking sensors and I'm worried it is only a matter of time before I forget that this car doesn't have them.

I look at the clock. The market shuts at noon so after 1pm parking is easy.

    Hello 7ted7
The net has several fitting specialist. The Car Kit Company has a number of systems. The cheapest is $ 269 fitted.

ps I thought that multiplex wiring assisted the addition of such devices.
