    Default DS starter button

    Hi everyone

My DecidedlySpecial has a starter button under the ignition key as the crank on the key is u/s.. That's fine with me, I like the button. I was wondering if anyone else has this set up and has anyone thought of fitting one in the cigarette lighter hole in the dash.. Something a little speech that's backlit perhaps? Not strictly ballroom I know but something integrated into the dash rather than mounted under it might look better.

    Thanks

    Matthew

I take care of a D wagon that has a button mounted in an aluminum tab bolted to the dash. The aluminum tab is engraved "Le Start".

Moby Dick gave me grief in the same way a couple of years ago.

My solution was a starter button operating the start relay.

As a button I used a spare blower motor switch in a blank spot beside the choke. Integrated into the dash and discrete.

I had to convert it to non latching obviously, but it works fine.

    Cheers, Pottsy

Found two choices for you which will work in the ciggie lighter aperture.
One is a very plain, innocuous black, the stealth model, the other is in "pick me" red.
