    Icon5 Tyres

I have a 2009 Citreon C5 and am up for new tyres after 45k.

Currently I have Michelin Primacy HP245/45 R18 100W, which are very expensive.

I am thinking about a set of B ridgestone Poptenza adrenalin RE002 tyres; they have a
pay for 3 get 4 promotion on at the moment.

    Any comments/ advice appreciated.

I have them on the fuego albeit in a very different size, and whilst they are not as good as some ultra premium offerings (at many more $$$), they dont hold any surprises either.
I wouldn't hesitate in buying a nother set.
Having a C5, you probably have a completely different criteria to me though, so maybe others may comment on road noise/comfort etc.

    I have a set of Pirelli P7 on my C4 VTR 205 55 16
thay where fitted with nitrogen inflation and have done 32K with 60% tread remainng.
The P7s are quieter than the Micelin energy Xs that were fitted as standard (whick gave 65K to 5% tread). Although not as good in the dry the P7s are much better in slippery conditions.

Will keep you all posted when we get to 5% tread.

    I changed the C6 OEM's @ 68k but they were well gone.
Have just fitted 4x Potenza S001 in that size/rating for $1170.
Early days but they seem fine.
the RE002 might be a bit more ? "performance tyre"
    Don't know the difference tho.
    cheers

Search for UFO and Bridgestone and you will see what I put on my C5 last year. So far very happy with the performance and wear of the Bridgestones.

thanks Craig, OK so that was a big thread that was sometimes relevant.
The only new thing is it seems the S001 now replaces the RE050 that ? you fitted.
And, these ones I have are made in Japan not France.
I do like the rim protector ridge too.
    cheers.

Mike I also like the rim protector ridge - having scraped (between Deb and I) three wheels while the silly Michelins were still on it.

    Perhaps the S001 replaced it.

    I have purchased Potenza RE050.

Read online that C5 has one of two TPMS systems; one a bluetooth system and the other operates via the ABS.

Are there any easy identifiers as to which system my 2009 C5 has

    cheers
