    Default Citromobile 2012

I've just returned home from Haarlem in the Netherlands where I went for Citromobile 2012. Supposedly one of, if not the, largest CitroŽn expos in the world there was certainly plenty to see. The primary purpose is to be a giant swap meet where you can buy (and sell if you register for a stand) anything and everything related to CitroŽns (and also Panhard).

I wasn't really in the market for any parts so I didn't spend too much time in the expo hall itself other than to say hi to a few people I know and see how much various parts are going to cost me when I eventually get around to working on my own DS. The interesting part of Citromobile is the carpark where only CitroŽn's are allowed to park. I don't know how many there were but it must have been about 500 or more... And of course I was only there on day one. When I went past on the bus on day two the carpark was full again with a whole new batch...

Anyway, I did take a number of photos for your viewing pleasure, mostly of DS's so apologies to those of you with more of a GS, BX, CX bent. Oh and I know I've labelled some ID's as DS's but I was in a rush so don't judge . I've also included a few photos of Haarlem where the expo was. You can find the photos here: https://plus.google.com/photos/11175...66777741307633

    Cheers
    Andrew

Excellent set, Andrew. Thanks for posting that. I rather fancied the pickup- a side-opening cargo door would be very cool.

    Default 2CV stretch.

The stretch 2CV is one awesome looking beast, just hard to imagine it's hillclimbing with a full load on board. Thank you for the Photos.

Definitely a few. There were a lot of first and second nose DS's.

Thanks for posting the link to your images. It was great to look through them.

I must try to make my next trip to Europe co-incide with that event.

There are quite a few CitroŽn events, particularly in Holland. Citromobile would be the biggest though.

Here are a few more Citromobile photos.

I just realised that we don't have a picture of the stretch 2cv - it was parked next to us at the Amsterdamse Bos campsite. It took a bit of negotiating to get it around some of the narrow roads onsite.
There are always a good collection of weird and wonderful citroens at Citromobile - it's one of the reasons we go most years. Our children particularly liked the AX ball pit.

    Enjoy
    Kris
