Default DS upholstery material suppliers in Melbourne

I am currently trying to source materials that are as close as possible to original for my ID21 Safari resto. I would like to buy the following materials:

    - engine/firewall central cover
    - hoodlining (also used on upper tailgate and roof crossmember)
    - sill covers
    - b pillar covers
    - rear wheel arch covers
    - carpet

I have an upholsterer ready to make everything up, using templates for the old stuff that I retained. I just need to source the materials.

I had tried a couple of places in Melbourne that Richo recommended (BAS International and Latimer Acoustics), but they are no longer operating.

    Any suggestions?

Check they're still there, it's been a while.
Otherwise, you might be better off sourcing it from France or Holland.
    Citart or Citroworld.

Vyfab are still there, Brendon. Their website is: http://www.vyfab.com/.
Another worth trying is Australian trim supplies, 12-14 Hilton St, Dandenong. Ph 9793 3544. Both places have helped me with 1970s trim in the past, though not specifically D series.

I believe the fabric in mine came from a marine supplier in Perth.

On a tangent, It's funny to me you reply, Craig. Here in San Diego, we have a giant upholstery and fabric supplier called UFO- Upholstery Fabric Outlet.

MB TEX is a really close match to the original vinyl for the perforated parts.
I think something from VW might be even closer.
