the push button door mod is tough option. the door handle and the catch are quite different. Better to find a good RHS lift up door handle and work with that, there must be a few around.

    Good luck.

Insurance? You can now buy new skins, so if the frame is OK or can be fixed, any repairer should have a fair chance of fixing it.

If the existing door is rust free, it's going to be easier to bang the dent out than replace it. Good late 'D' panels are like hens teeth ( even ones that look nice are usually sh!t when you strip them back).

Thanks for the advice.Sadly the frame is badly bent, top and bottom.Amazingly the window has survived albeit with abend of more than a centimetre.

I could find you a door, but it will have rust and filler and it's a long way from Sydney. It's not easy finding clean used doors. There would be something better and nearer your home! The panel itself is nor very heavy once you remove the glass and regulator, which would make freight less costly.

Check the classifieds as Bad Bertie in Sydney had some apparently good D Special doors on offer a few months ago. Last year, I recall some being on offer in Brisbane, but they may have been Pallas doors, the hassle being the many holes you will need to fill to use it on a Special.

If it was rust free, you may be able to deskin it, straighten it and put it back together???
