Default eBay Lexias - buying tips

Are they all the same? There is an Australian seller flogging them off for $84!

Are all Chinese lexia created equal?

I'm not about to put my hand up and say I'm any authority.
I recently purchased one, it's on a single disc and works fine.

Have read in other places where the latest (for sale on eBay) V47 on DIAGBOX is missing some stuff for the earlier cars. The factory is dropping off some of the earlier information.

    Mine is V45, pre diagbox.

What's the worst case scenario? You lose $88?
Well, not even that bad, you will have all the cables, then only need the disc to make it run.

    Hope this helps.

    Folks

Has anyone any experience with this Lexia? Is it what it says it is?

    Thanks,

Yeah well, for 88 bucks its worth a shot.

This seller had 3 listings at 83, 87 and 88 dollars (odd). Went to buy it and noticed all but the 88 had been out up to $159 in line with other sellers! I jumped on the $88 listing which was gone shortly after.

It turned up today. Appears new, although a but scuffed from being in a pile of them I guess. Software discs had grubby marks on them but seem to read ok....

Have access to an XP laptop with no disc drive - so will have to try moving the disc contents to a USB drive and see if it works off that.

Any tips for installing and using? It all looks Greek and complicated to me, but windows stuff usually does...

Or Greek retsina wines if you need to translate the Lexia.

All good (well, beyond tearing my hair out at incomprehensible windows shite...), but I'm stumped at the activation code part.

The keygen I was supplied does not create anything that gets me anything other than an error 11...

Any tips? Or better yet, a known working code?

All the keygens I see mentioned on forums generate a code with a series of 4 characters separated by dashes, like a windows key. The keygen here has no spaces or dashes. It still doesn't work if put them in...

Pretty sure the keygen is wrong...

Mind you, it could be ****ing windows. Apparently old installs and virus crap can screw with it too. This is a borrowed laptop, so who knows what it's state is (beyond being bloody windows...). Might have to get a dedicated laptop with a clean install and no "security" stuff.

Got it. There was another file with the lexia 46 update. Updated it and the keygen then worked.

Many faults... (found in 5 minutes -$195 worth of dealer time? Bloody thieves...).

Transmission oil counter had not been reset...

Very tempted to buy a Lexia myself. So other than the initial setup, have you noticed any other problems/issues with the equipment you purchased from this eBay vendor?
