BX block corroded???

    Default BX block corroded???

    hi all,
    looking at a bx which has been sitting around for 5 yrs without being started.. what are the chances of the block being corroded by now I wonder...hmmm...been there once before

    Go and see, but take with you some tools.
    Don't try to start the car,
    Remove the spark plugs, and turn the engine over with a spanner, to see that it turns freely.
    I think the chances of a seized block are very low to be honest. You will likely need to clean out the carby first before putting a fresh battery on it.

    My CX turbo hasn't been started since November 2006, but I have no doubt it will be ok inside!
