    Default C5 air conditioning problem

At random intervals, it seems that the left hand heating valve jams in the wide open position. The result is very hot air from the left hand vents, cold air from the right hand vents. Most uncomfortable in summer!
The temporary workaround is to turn off the fan, go to recirculation mode and open the windows.
After a day or so, the system spontaneously returns to normal operation.
Can anyone suggest a permanent fix for this irritating fault?

    "Déesse" Roland Barthes, 'Mythologies', 1957

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.
