    Default Wedding Cars

Inspired by Gerry (For Tim!) I thought I'd kick off a thread on when our beloved Frogs are used to assist in splicing.

I'll start with the amazing multi-functional Moby Dick. From dusty rally car to svelte boulevardiere.

The lovely daughter-in-law batted her eyes at me and caused all the carefully crafted stickers to fall off, the upholstery to be re-done and the paintwork to be polished to gleaming.

Here's a couple of photos from The Wedding of 2009. (No 2 son)

I reckon she scrubbed up well, and the bride looked pretty good too!

(I'm gunna get in trouble now!)

We also used No 1 son's Mini van for the groom transport, and the sharp eyed will spot my brothers' Scenic lurking among the vines.

Let's see more wedding cars chaps (and chappettes)

    Cheers, Pottsy

Here are three cars (DS21, DS23 and Big 15) used at a wedding in Sydney in 2007.

My 6H did service at a wedding along with Rex Gercovich's Family nine on one occasion and on another along with a Big 15 and a Light 15. The red Light 15 is my old WM715/
CH 2654 also has done several weddings.

    Default weddings

Just my opinion, but the Tractions make the BEST weddings cars.

For some reason I reckon the D's don't cut the look quite as well.

    Here are some more.

1 Adrian Rousseau's Big 6s JWK549 and WK549 with my WM715 hiding down the back. These were our wedding cars back in January 1973.

2 Rex Gerkovich's Light 15. Now belonging to Bob Lachel.

    3 & 4 Arthur Clarke's Light 15 KSE442, the ex Roger Brundle car.

Both cars in two, three and four are attending the wedding party for my sister in law.

    5, 6, 7, & 8 Rex also had a lovely Family 9.

    9. CH2654 again for the wedding of Walter Burkhardt's nephew. Walter was in the long process of restoring a lovely 6H but sadly passed away before it could be completed.

    10. Les Vidler's car and CH2654. At the Tatra hut.

    Cheers Gerry

Anyone know where I can get a black C6, or a couple, for my wedding in December?

    I know I'm dreaming.

    Default Wedding cars

    Hi all,

This is the burgundy Familale we hired 9 years ago - Laurette and I.

It is mentioned as the one in the QLD carpark.

Brilliant car and it was a great day - exceptionally hot at mid 40 degrees an no air in Sydney!!! The car went beautifully.

The plan was to have the roof off so the blushing bride could have her veils at full sail but the weather was ominous and we figured a cramped bride was better than a saturated one...so the roof stayed on. The picture is a little blurred because it was lifted off the official wedding video.

Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.

I knew there was a reason why I'm dismantling my D!
It had occurred to me previously the commercial applications of having a smart vehicle that needs to recoup some ( bold italics for that word)expenses...

Default 2CV as a wedding car

This blushing bride would settle for no less than a 2CV...
had to cram everyone in but everyone was happy...

I've been stopped by numerous people with tales to tell of their exploits in a 2cv. The best one yet was in a servo at the pay counter. The woman asked if the 2cv was mine. "Yes" I replied. Her response: "I was conceived in one of those." I guess it's the next step on from use as a wedding car!

Then there's the final step, which is where the Safari steps in.

It's right and left addo, not that stupid UK terminology. Remember too we have AF participants from LHD countries to NS and OS mean the opposite to them - if they use the term at all.
