Default DS.. full power has been restored Captain

    Greetings fellow voyagers

my alternator packed it in on the weekend.. charge light on constantly.. tests confirmed it wasn't doing its job.. ugh!! What to do???

Beam up Mr Richard Kennedy of course!!

I shipped my Paris Rhone dud to Tassy on Monday and the replacement arrives back today.. I pop it back in place.. no adjustments or alternations required.. put the warp core back on line and awaaaaayyyy we gooo!! Yippeeee! 3 day turn around!!

Look at all that lovely space I have now that the archaic regulator is gone.. plus a few now redundant wires.. good grief.. It wasn't all smooth sailing as my wires had burnt out under previous ownership so the colours are all wrong.. but we worked it out in the end. Only 2!! wires to connect on Mr Kennedy's marvel and bring on the fat singing lady!! Now charging at just over 1200rpm.

AND I had to do it all in the bloody street!! aahhh!

Seriously, once again it is my pleasure to give a bow and a big thank you to Richo for your guidance and expertise..(check out the hand machined spacer at the top mount bracket!) , it is greatly appreciated.

PS A big thank you to Michael (Boyracer) for allowing the use of his alternator, currently in limbo, but which in the end wasn't needed!

    Spock here Cap'n Kirk.
A pleasure to restore full power as requested.
Actually, 30% more than was previously on hand.
Cap'n Kirk will be once more able to adventure at will.
    Spock out.

Once warp speed is achieved it takes a while to re-materialise

Nice one Matthew, I plan on using that extra space to neatly locate additional relays on mine

    Cheers

Arrived on planet Hobart Tuesday morning, new warp core installed, adjusted to suit '69 starship, Sent from closest space dock in less than 1/4 of an earth cycle, arrived at Cap'n Kirks Sydney maintenance base Wednesday morning then successfully fitted by the good captain.

Spent more time with Australia Post, you'd think they could fly a little faster.

Richo. I am surprised you did not use the Transporter beam,to re materialise the alternator on the Matthew USS Enterprise, all you had to do is get Scotty to get the GPS bearings of Matthews place, adjust the transporter settings and energise.

Well, having experienced your skills and patience Richo, I'm surprised you haven't actually invented a transporter beam.

    Beam me up,
