Default WTB CX nearside rear fixed window

    The title says it all.

Went to pick up my glass from the panel beaters and this piece not to be found.

    Thanks

What model? Is it tinted or not? I know I've seen door glass from a CX25 that is definitely tinted whereas some glass, bviously from earlier cars, is not. It may not matter a lot if you are going for a fairly dark shade of stick on tinting.

p.s. I find offside and nearside impossible to remember which is which. So, left or right may make it clear others with the same mental deficiency!

I try never to use this way of describing things.... it refers to the position of the kerb in relation to the car, so nearside is the left of the car and offside is the right....but this of course assumes a right hand drive car, in its home country. This of course falls down when we are dealing with a left hand drive foreign import, or if we go abroad, because they haven't a clue what you're talking about!!!

I much prefer the international way of doing things, which just refers to left or right, as you sit in the car, facing forward.

LEFT LEFT LLEFT LEFT LFTE FELT LFTE ...LEFT

John, you are an Englishman. England created the modern world. Nearside = Left. Just because we drive french cars and they drive on the wrong side of the road means nothing. They should be made to conform.

    Now more seriously.

The car is an 87 CX and the one I have is tinted but I am going as dark a tint as I can so not really a problem once tinted.

If things dont turn out, I have one.
I would rather leave it in the car, to keep the weather out, until it is stripped.
Can help if urgent or desperate though.

Thank you all. I think I am fixed.

Now watch the panel beaters find the one they misplaced as soon as I have the other in hand.

Do you have the spider clips to retain the strips?
You need to put them over the glass before you bond it in or you will have trouble trying to fit them later.

Found them in the cupboard this afternoon. 4 clips each window.

I am going to get the local windscreen bloke to fix them and the rear window for me.

Does the rear window have and clips (apart from the ones to hold the cover strips) on it?

    Thanks

I am so tempted to ask which side you need................. Let me know if you need clips anyway, as I have some.

    Cheers

The rear window doesn't have any clips that slip over the glass, but there are a few large white plastic supports. They are held in by fingers that are spread by a pin when pushed home. To remove them, you have to remove the pin or the fingers will not let go.
