    Default DS 19 - brain

A friend of mine needs a new DS 19 brain, or ideas about how to re-build. Any ideas?

Simple. Remove. Dismantle. Replace seals. Reassemble. Reinstall.

If you want a more detailed answer, please ask a more detailed question.

Do you think it would be possible to buy one new/reconditioned?

Unlikely, but it is possible to do what I suggested by following carefully the detailed instructions in the factory DS19 repair manual. That is what I did.

    Default DS Brain

When you (ntr 1972) say your freind needs a new DS Brain, I assume it is for a 1950's DS. I'm curious, what year his DS is. I might be able to help out. Michael

You might also want to put in a PM to Citroenfan (Steve). Needing a fresh shift brain for a D is pretty extreme.

Why, oh why can I just see Zombie Andre Citroen rising from the dead and saying "Braaaaaaaaaaaaaains...... Oh- frighfully sorry. Wrong type."
