Default '02 c5 v6 bit rough on stop light downchanges

long sentence! sometimes the gearbox feels a little rough on the 3-2-1 downchanges as i'm coming to a stop. never savage, but out of character for the rest of its up and downchanges. is this just how they shift sometimes.

Your auto may need an oil change, especially if its an AL4. Not sure if v6's use this transmission? There lots of info here about changing fluid if you plug Al4 into the search bar.

It's a ZF 4HP20 and they can sometimes be a fraction rough, but you wouldn't be expecting any substantial jolts or shudders. It's quote common for the early V6 to drop right back just after turning a corner and trying to accelerate - they are all like that! Obvious vibration/shunting in top gear going up a hill about 60-70 is another issue that can sometimes happen because the converter locks up quite early.

No the box actually feels very refined 99% of the time. This is the only thing that seemed a bit odd. Glad to hear its normal
