    Default Hi and a problem

Ive just bought a 2002 c5 v6. Overall seems great. One owner and full history at one dealer. The one problem is that the shiftet wont stay in the tiptronic section. I can push it and change gears, but it feels all sloppy and slops back into the d section. Does anyone have any tips on what may be the issue.

Probably something is broken in the gear selector. It's possible that the detent pin has broken and jammed it in park and someone has then forced the lever. I can't think why else it would become sloppy. Look at the following post as it explains the common problem and shows you how to get at the selector lever. It's the same layout in your V6.
