I think the description is trying to swerve you from the reality of the photos.

From the photos you can only see some of the rust and it maybe too far gone to do anything but ravage it for spares.

The reserve has not been met at $2000 and the only value is the air con unit .

    Bert,
just copy the link (normally shows in the top of the web browser you are using) and then paste it into the message.

    Cheers

    Default Ds

    Jee, what a sad sight.

Love the steering wheel. Reminds me of a home made cookie.

And the rust, well who doesn't like a bit of rust and tetnus? Ae we all getting a bit brittle?

    What a mess indeed.

Two grand, minus a lot I'd say.

The reserve has been set at $2000.00 so $2000.00 will buy it, but yes from what we can see you would have to be brave - sadly a parts car, but it does still have some very usable parts.

    Cheers

At least there is an honesty about the description and, yes sadly, the photos...

On every count, I'd say! Good pun though, the two "oh dears".

Had to smile at the "item that has been used previously".

    Alas.

This one will need a lot more than polish.

Actually he said he was told it was a runner when HE bought it. He hasn't run it himself, if I read his delicious spelling correctly.

On the positive side, the door trims and dash appear reasonable and it has an OK front bumper going by the photos. While a D can rust in an astonishing array of places, the rear end of the later cars seems a lot more vulnerable than the rest of the car. So, we can't know what the rest of it's like, but the boot might, just might, be the worst of it. The back end doesn't look very promising though.

Default I think I've seen this car before

About eight or nine years ago I saw this car (or one identical to it) in the front yard of the same house.
The man I spoke to was a tow truck driver. He said he had picked the car up and the owner hadn't retrieved it. He thought it was worth at least $6000.
The car was sitting uncovered in the grass and was in much better condition than this one is now.
    I left it alone.
The man said a number of people had shown interest in the car, does anyone else remember it?
