    Default Citroen VS Motorcycle.

An extract from a Sydney Morning Herald article.

Gotta watchout for those oncoming Citroens. Anyone here?

A motorcyclist died early today in a head-on collision following a high-speed police chase across Sydney's south.
Police detected a motorcycle travelling at excessive speed in Gardeners Road, Daceyville, at 2.22am today.
The 21-year-old male rider, from Canterbury, sped away in what was described by police as "an obvious attempt" to avoid them.
Several minutes later, he crossed on to the incorrect side of the road and hit an oncoming Citroen along Rocky Point Road, near the intersection of the Princes Highway, Kogarah, police said.
Police officers provided first-aid at the scene but he died on arrival at St George Hospital a short time later.
The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man from Glebe, and three passengers were shaken but escaped injury.

'Police are hoping to talk to the driver...'

To thank him for his unwitting assistance or to charge him with an as yet unknown crime?

Damn! If the motorcycle was a Harley and the Citroen was my 2CV, I could have ended up with an instant doubling in engine capacity and power. The accident site was only 15 minutes away. Opportunity lost.

Sorry, should read tripling of powerif I kept both engines.

John, perhaps you failed notice that a person was killed in this situation.

Yes a death...but the fool was running from the Cops at speed, self infilcted IMHO. You don't run if you are not guilty.

My real question is, would they have mentioned a Falcon or COmmodore if it were one of those???

Sorry people, I have NO sympathy whatsoever.

The motorcyclist died as a direct result of his own CRIMINAL activity....

Mind you, I've only been a motorcycle enthusiast, and rider for nearly 30 years, so what would I know?
