    Default Children of Men

Just watching the movie, Children of men. Set in 2027. Just love the cx safari with just a bit of plastic to change the front and a small screen placed on the dash to make it look like a car of the future,

They could have just left it as it was and it would still look like a car of the future. You would have to call it the Sean Connery of cars. Seems to age better than most things around it.

That represents a change from the usual practice of using a DS as a car of the future. I guess the future has just become a little more modern.

There always comes a time when you have to move away from the "Dark Side" (DS) Roger and move forward. I have to say the plastic add ins looked quite good on the car.

Laurie, I have resisted all thoughts of buying a CX. Once I was lent one for a week, in a "try before you buy" arrangement, and I still returned it unloved and unbought. It's DS for me, and that's that.

Quite a few movies have used DS's as 'future cars'

Of the top of my head -

    Gattaca
Back to the Future (I think)
    Battlestar Galactica (modern version)

    any others?

I laughed at the clutch start as I could hear that it was an auto as they drove off. I also thought they used far too few bullets on it.
