What are "original kms"? How do these differ from ordinary kms?

isnt there a better question you could have asked...
I think we "all" understand what Dan means... ie instrument cluster hasnt been changed and no tampering with speedo...

Dan, if I may... could you tell us more about the condition of paint... defects, bumps, dints scratches???
I know you describe it as top condition but it must have "some" marks...what, where?

    dino

ps.. good luck with the sale... shes a stunner.

I've tried to love them, believe me I've tried, yet somehow they got the ugly stick big time. I even seriously considered racing one in Non-Marque 2A class of the CSCA, it would be so competitive, but just couldn't.

For some reason I've always thought they look fantastic. You should just buy one Peter, playing around with some modified variable spheres would be fun! This one certainly looks like a nice example. If it were in south east QLD I'd be jumping up and down!

With a 185hp engine (the most on a standard ECU), a close ratio gearbox, LSD and modified spheres there wouldn't be many other registered, normally aspirated under 2L cars that stay with it. I'm happy with the Mi16x4. It's the best of both worlds!

Simply because an offer would probably cause more offence than my pitiful attempts at humour.

The Xantia CT and the BX 16V are total opposites. The CT is all about loads of torque between 2000 and 4000 followed by an anticlimax and the 16V doesn't get going until 4000 and gets better until it hits the rev limiter.

The 16V is much easier to drive - just change gears to keep it above 4000 rpm. With the CT, if you want some acceleration, make sure you are under 2000 rpm when you floor it, change gear when you get to 4000 rpm and then hope the turbo bypass closes again so you get some boost in the next gear. It is really a bit of a one gear wonder most of the time. The performance times on the CT are not really much better then a 8 valve.

    Cheers,

    Ken W

Ken i didnt mind the driving experience of the CT, second and third were often enough to get me to speeds that woulda had me in trouble.... Felt it was quicker than my Mi16

So if a 16V is quicker again, they really are impressive especially for their age

The BX has less torque, though it is also around 400kg's lighter than a CT Activa. From driving dad's (Ken's) stock CT and my stock 16V I'd have say the BX feels a bit quicker. They're definitely polar opposites though in terms of how and where the power is delivered.

*Waits patiently for Shane to tell us all we should by CX turbos if we want real cars*
