    Default CONGRATULATIONS messages

Is any body else pissed off with the " congratulations - you have won a prize" messages being flashed across the screen on Aussie Frogs recently.
I think this is a giant FAIL

Be nice please, Ted. We aren't paying anything to be part of Aussiefrogs.

As the "one millionth visitor" thread shows ...

    One millionth visitor.

... changes to advertising can be made quickly if they are requested in the right way.

I just tune out of the ads.

    Roger

With respect Ted, how is this CitroŽn related?
Perhaps Froggy Chat is a more appropriate forum venue.
    You must be infuriated.

Download Adblock for whatever browser you are using.

Meanwhile, thanks for reminding me, I must send a donation to gibgib to help keep the site free.

Well there is some good news and some better news.

I will send myself to coventry for 7 days ( the good news )

I will not have to get these obviously disingenuous emails offering every one a lucky prize ( the better news - for me )

There is no bad news ( except for the ongoing intrusion of worthless winning prizes for everybody else)

You could perhaps "tune on" the the post before yours, a response by the admin, Gibgib.

You've got off lightly, over 'ere on the CPUK website we had to put up with bare-nekkid ladies advertising themselves.

    We were incensed, nay, outraged.

So much so that after a couple of years we had them pulled.

Aussiefrogs doesn't control the ads that appear, so they've simply been slipped in to the advertising bundle. The same adverts are showing up at websites like eBay at the moment too, so it's a problem at the advert provider's end.

Annoying as they are, just ignore them. In some of them you get an "X" button at their top right to close them, but it's really part of the advert and clicking on it does the same as clicking on the body of the advert.

I can feel your sense of outrage!
