    Default Citin Poll

Hi all, as a Citin committee member I thought I'd throw this out to all who plan on coming to Citin and for that matter those that cant make it but may have a opinion. Next year we are basically sticking to the "traditional" format of the event apart from the Monday which has generally been the breakfast break up. The committee is divided over whether to stick with the traditional break up at breakfast or go with my preference, a farewell lunch at a local winery after a small drive and observation run through Margaret River wine country roads. The plan would be to have a formal farewell around lunch and then people can make there way back to Perth or the East (or stick around) from that point. Maybe its just me but the couple of Citins I have done I have always felt the brekky farewell comes a bit too quick and my belief is that people who drive all that way from The East to our neck of the woods would like a little extra time or bang for your buck as they say. Of course those that really wanted to leave could so, we wouldn't force people to stay the extra time What say you all, we shall be guided by democracy here

The lunch thing sounds like a good idea as it breaks the formula a bit, and change brings about new experiences.

Here's a radical idea, make people from different states mix up who they sit with. Why people travel hundreds or even thousands of km and only sit with the same people they always socialise with has always amused me. We have made so many new friends at Cit Ins just by moving around the room.

Hey Craig, yes I agree completely about mixing everyone up. Do you know if you can make it yet at all?

Very doubtful as our finances are all aimed at ICCCR for next year.

After 12 straight years of Cit Ins we decided to spend Easter at home and go to the Royal Easter Show on at least one day. I have not been to the RES since it moved to Homebush!

Farewell lunch sounds like a great idea to me.

Some variation from the 'Cit In' formula is a good thing, especially when it allows access to the local atmosphere. otherwise the risk is that one Cit In becomes very much like the next.

Not that im in anyway criticising any Cit In orgainiser, its not until yourve organised a Cit In yourself that you realise the numerous requirements for a variety of accomodation, attractions, venues all in one locality and large enough to seat everyone.

BTW, Margaret River sounds like a great location to me!

Hi all, I have just updated the Citin thread regarding this. Great news we will definitely be doing a final run on the Monday which will culminate in the official farewell picnic lunch at a renowned winery.

    See you there!

Agreed. I have a personal rule at any of our senior national company meetings never to sit with anyone I know well. I never sit with anyone from the same office unless they have come to me, breaking my personal rule as I tell them!

Bugger! I was hoping for more than the ten seconds in 2005 or was it 2006?
