Buy either the London Bus or Yellow Cab version and suggest, when asked why, that:

'I'm going off all things French and have decided to focus on old British/American cars instead'

    Then run....very very fast.

Just rang Aldi and there is no need for a quick trip to the Banana Republique as they are available in N.S.W. stores from the 16th Nov.so you can be nicely rugged up, Andy.

I see the price is 40.00, which is plenty cheap enough, I'm curious about shipping from you to us. Those would make great raffle or door prizes at Rendezvous next year.

    I checked them out.

No good for me, for two reasons.

    1. They are polyester.
    2. They feature a 2CV, not a DS.

I would have bought one too.... The polyester bit is what stopped me. I don't mind the 2cv though (who could sleep under polyester ).

I had a good look at one out of the package. I agree with Roger about the polyester but I tend to collect things with the Eiffel tower on them so might have let that pass. What deterred me is I felt the print itself is dark and rather gloomy. The one I looked at appeared darker than the picture in the advertisement.

    Polyester? Not poly/cotton?

Strange. Ive not been to look yet, but havnt seen a 100% polyester anything with regards to sheets or covers for decades...

By all means have a look, but if the quilt cover packets in Shane's, Kaye's and my local Aldi stores all mention polyester and not cotton, I doubt the quilt covers in your local Aldi store will have poly/cotton written on their packets.

    Well I bought a set.

Yes, I was worried about the polyester too. I popped them in the wash and put them on the bed. Looks great, and certainly not the shower curtain polyester of days yore. It is pretty close to cotton in look and feel actually.

Will give you the update tomorrow after a night's sleep!

At this stage a good purchase!

    **UPDATE**
Quilt cover is comfortable, and feels like cotton. An added bonus is that I didn't spontaneously combust.

I suggest you buy one before you regret not doing so when they were available...
