The Italians know how to mess up a nice arse.
People are always going on about the US cars and their ugly head lights but this is much less simpatico IMO

Its not a case of" The Italians messing up a nice arse ". Before the advent of the rectangular number plates in the late seventies early eighties ( red lettering for the city code followed by white numbers on black background), all cars registered in Italy (including mCitroen ) had to have square rear number plates with white letters/numbers on black background. Thankfully the front number plates were smal and rectangular, so as not to ruin the " Front face " of the car design. Few people realise the innovative aspect of some of the safety features pioneered by the Italians, such as front side guard repeater blinker lights, adjustable internal rear view mirror to prevent headlight glare from rear vehicles, and upper grab handles for front and rear passengers, all these things that we take for granted now days, Unlike the Americans, they never legislated to force all cars to have enormous front and rear bumper bars, and sealed beam headlights fixed in place, ruining the aesthetic design of many European cars, including the DS and SM.

Seems to have sat at the same price on carsales for a fair while.
Dunno why .... For some reason that interior just seems to work in that car. Reminds me of an old american car.

HI Matthew, to answer your question about the size of Italian rear plates, are the same size as all the other EU number plates, same design and dimensions front and rear. Just the letter I, on the left corner of the number plate. Cheers matthew. Joe

I will see your mother ship and raise you one picture of the dealer ship.
Bader Motors Citroen, Riverside, California, USA.
When I was five years old, my mother took delivery of a brand new ID21F right where that blue one is parked.
    I had found my god.
