Default Who is going to Cit-in?

Hey, I'm surprised there hasn't been any talk of this for over a month and with less than a week away.....and I'm told I will have the only GS!! Even the mighty Doublechevron will not be there.
So who is going and any idea of final numbers?

That's great to see such a turn out from WA, there must be a huge amount of enthusiasm over there. I heard there may be a few CX's this year and I was considering bringing one of mine along but I got some new tyres for the GS today and tomorrow will tackle the front suspension wear so that the tyres don't go bald so quickly. Kimmo says he is dropping by with a CX owner from WA tomorrow so I hope they don't mind getting their hands greasy!

I'm looking forward to seeing your CX Justin, I had a 2500D a couple of years ago until I sold it to someone over there in WA. It's a metallic blue one, I don't suppose you have seen it?

Mmmm, doesn't ring a bell. Not too many CX's left here, probably 50 on the road and many, many more rusting away. Mine was originally a CX2400 and has had a "transplant"

If I remember correctly, Bruce told there will be 17 CXs and 1 GS there. Not that I'm biased towards the 70s models

Shane would need to borrow a pug to travel that far with peace of mind that he is going to get there

Kimmo didn't remember correctly but he wasn't too far off - CX registrations are in the double figures. I have heard another GS may be attempting a day trip, but the owner was a bit uncertain if his car would be ready in time (and I think a few of us have had that feeling just prior to a CitIn).

Just to pour some oil on the CX excitement, Celeste CX will not be at Cit In. However she is going in for some beauty treatment in late May, at Schenk Maison de Beautie.

We will be there in the C5.

We have been unlucky in GS department. I sold mine to Donat who can't come to Cit-In as he is abroad. Bruce can't take his. Hemi Metal has unregistered his. Considering a good number of GSs we had in the 40th anniversary run I would have expected a good turn-up.
On the other hand. I got my CX Prestige ready in time, Darren got his 2200 registered, Justin and Bob got their restorations ready in time and Ross bought the Familiale from Brisbane.

If it's any consolation, I haven't seen a GS since I shut my garage door. Though every 10 cars I see has chevrons on them, though nothing older than a BX, and XMs and Xantias are few and far between throughout Europe. The rest I see at every turn, bar the c6 (seen three or so).

Hope all goes well this Easter. >>

    Hi Team,

I will be there in the C5 Tourer, I need to get the kilometers up some how. I did get the CX wagon out last weekend but it is too sad and neglected to bring. I would not want to get the worst CX prize or the encouragement award. Anyway looking forward to seeing you all there - only one more days work to suffer.

    Cheers,

    Ken W

Aww come on Ken.....no CX!? Actually if I had the choice I would bring the C5 especially the state of my CX wagons at the moment. One is getting more rusty by the week I kid you not!! The lower arm will go in the GS tomorrow and then we'll head up there...... Sounds like what you would read from the Haynes manual doesn't it.

I just realised I've still got the small trophy from the motorkhana (2nd place?). Not sure if I was supposed to send it up to Stanthorpe or not. Apologies if I was.

Let me know who to forward it on to and I'll despatch it after the event is run and won.

    Cheers, Pottsy
