Default Special colours for an SM

Another poster had a link to classicthrottleshop for a R16. Had a look and found this. SMs are a special car but this one looks even better. The two-tone accents the shape very well. I could consider adding it to my collection - if I had a spare $50,000. The purists undoubtedly will condem it.

It is the same colour the prototype was painted. SM Australia painted one that colour for the same reason

It is white. Do you think if I painted the roof I might get the same result?

Yeah I drooled over that one last night. I love the line:

It is also docile in suburban traffic and especially adores the open road.

I can just see it stonking around in Sydney traffic!

    I think the
1128 badge in chrome I would add to the back would put of "da boyz" in their crappydores.

You mean 1129 right I'd have no idea what that meant though unless someone explained it. You'd have to put "1129 Cubes" after it .... Somehow I figure the sound an 18.5litre motor would generate, would make any badging obsolete

To get an idea what a CX would look like with a dark roof.....

    http://classiccarsales.ie/buy/view/C..._PRESTIGE/1159

    ...thanks to Shane...

...and I've had a picture of that car for well over 12 months - makes me wonder if a bargain might be had if it's been listed for that long...

sadly it'll be a vinyl roof though I generally think not only do they look terrible, they will rust the roof off the car..... However in the case of that prestige, it looks good to my eyes

    ...Seems a bargain for $50K

I think a better effect for the Prestige would be to also black out a C pillar and the door window surrounds (ie same as the CX 25IE). With dark tinted windows you would really elongate the look of the car. Maybe too much for a Prestige, probably better balanced on a sedan.
