    Default 2CV6 Breather

Hi , Where is the best place to cut my oil filler / breather open to fix it

I assume it has a rubber one way flap inside it I can fix, should I cut below the inlet from the hose from the aircleaner

    or just above it

I have never cut one open or tried to fix one. The last one I bought was a genuine Citroen one and it cost (from memory) about $395, in Australia maybe 10 years ago.

I have since added a crankcase breather valve between it and the aircleaner. I bought that from ECAS in the UK.

I like the oil filler function of the original filler/breather, but know that the crankcase ventilation function doesn't last that long.

On my Raid 2CV, I have a ECAS English made filler which incorporates a reed valve. Unfortunately, it takes forever to unthread the lid to top it up, so I have gone off that idea.
