Default Citroen official web site VIN

    Hi,
I visited the official Citroen website to check some parts etc.
When I put in the VIN number of my Citroen C5 it said unknown vehicle. What has happened. It is a 2001 C5 so have they got a 10 year cut off or ????
I can still put in the general model details and continue but the Vin method gives the exact part instead of the multiple variations of some bits to select from.
Has there been a change latterly.

You can enter the whole VIN ot just the last 8 of the VIN. It should certainly work for all models of C5. Try again and be careful with 0 and O - the last 8 should all be numeric like 76XXXXXX for your C5.

    Default Vin mistake

    Hi
    Thanks David.
I put the last part in with only the numbers and it came up OK and showed the correct VIN complete.
I was using the number entered into the service booklet, which has been incorrectly written since new, and has the F and N transposed. I guess previously I used the correct number directly from the car !!

The VIN number is a tautology.
