    Default DS Jubilee

    Hi there

came across this pic of a "Jubilee" edition DS.. I have been wondering if people ever paint their dash boards when they restore them.. I assume this was a factory job.

Jubilee was Factory for a set run of LHD cars.
Burgundy crackle painted where it would have been black.
    Horrid.

Some decaps have body colour dashboards. Still horrid IMHO.

Err, they also did RH Drive. They are DS21, a lot of them were white originally.
A friend in the UK has one.

I suspect that is the UK car with the SM engine fitted..as well as the roof removal..and from memory it is a 4 door "convertible" ... notice however that although it has a BVH .. a DS gearshift... it does not have a proper DS parking brake pedal..instead it is fitted with the pull up handle from a manual gearbox car.
The engine firewall is much wider to accommodate the V6.

If you zoom in on the photo at 200%, and look at the badge on the glovebox, it confirms your suspicion, as it says "Citroen+Maserati" I have lots of photos if this car, but none of the interior.

It's owned by Ed Davidge, who is a very funny chap after a few stubbies!

Hey I just found this pic of a decap with the lower late dash painted in the body colour.. I think that works really well! Here's a yummy early dash as well in two tone.

My fathers 61 ID in South Africa when I was a kid had a burled walnut looking finish instead of the I believe silver finish. It wasn't a flat piece but the usual curved look. I've never seen another one that looked like that.
