My car and its latest changes *PICS*

Hi, I obviously drive a Xsara as you can see below and by my name. It is a 2001 VTR-1.6L, Has an Exhaust,Body kit, Carbon Fibre air intake and the newly added stereo! Just though you all might like to have a look.

Future mods will include, colour coding bumpers,17" wheels and a 35mm or 40mm lowering also strut brace and sway bars.
Be great to hear some feedback and some sites i could go to for more information about my intended mods.

    Julian

    Hi Julian,

nice looking car!! Sure beats all the Hyundi crapbox's with spoilers & big wheels around here

Out of interest, how do you use the hatch with the subbies mounted back there. We've attempted to put stereo's in a couple of hatches but always had to destroy the only boot space it had (and prevent rear seats being folded down

with the sub box i currently have i have no boot at all. this is largely due to the fact that it will be doing a few shows etc.

The box is actually fixed down to the fllor pf the boot with just screws. the box is not attached to rear seats at all and they can be folded down now worries. Since the Xsara usually has the Jack etc on the side of the boot, the tools and jack have been mounted on the back of the box which is only accesable when the seats are folded down.

If i wanted to use my boot space i would not have designed such a set up. i would have only gone eith 1 sub as it requires a smaller box and had it fixed to the boot floor and attached the amp to the side of that, that would have given me atleas 65%-70% usable boot space.

    Hope that helps. tongue

Well done mate, about time we start seeing a few more tastefully modded french cars.
The fit of the BMC looks perfect.
Will you be entering the Brisbane autosalon?
Not that i'll be able to make it.

trust me, it's upto standard. [edit]I meant once it's lowered with 17's....btw i'm selling some 16's if you're interested wink

there are plenty of average cars that are entered.
though it's best to enter with a club of some sort, that way you can share looking after the cars...instead of being stuck there for a couple of very long days.

    looks good,

Strikes a nice balance between conservative and way over the top

Larger wheels should top it off nicely

well i've been wedged between jap cars at a few shows.
it almost doesnt matter where you are, a french car fan can sense you being there
even though i was the only pug at the melbourne autosalon, surprisingly i had a lot of interest...never knew there were so many people out there that were interested in pugs.

Xsara your car looks fantastic. The custom speakers in the boot have citroen markings on them. Where did you actually get those from and do you know if there is anything about like that for Renault?

    Keep up the fantastic work...

the speaker box and false floor have the cit markings, it's pretty easy to do.
usually done with mdf on top of the actual box and then vinyled.

Andreas just about summed it up! those logo's are only raised about 2-3mm of the mdf. They were custom made by the insatllers!

Well guys this prob wont interest many of you but i will tell you all anyway!

I had my first sound off on the weekend up at Maroochydore Autobarn. Had competitors from all over, i was the only Euro car there and though i represented the frogs quite well.

I tied for 3rd in the DB(decibel) shootout and got 145DB and got 3rd in SQ(sound quality) for my class! i was well pleased with my efforts!!!

Nice looking Xsara. Spose they all look nice don't they!?

Try looking up some of the Euro and UK mod car sites. There were endless Hot euro hatches running round when I was there last. Remember, the Citroen Saxo is the most hotted up hatch in Europe. Cant think where i heard that but I did.
