    Domed Pistons for ID19

Does anyone know where to get domed pistons for a long stroke ID19, I have seen some OS but they were about $700 for Pistons and sleeves a set. Is their any pistons from something else that will fit with a bit of boring of the sleeves?

    Hi Mark,

I think you'll find domed pistons are DS19 pistons. That's how they increased the compression ratio over the ID19 (from memory).

So if you buying a piston/sleave set, just get a set for the DS19 & it should come with the domed pistons. You understand I've never done this so can't be certain they'll fit (though I can think of nothing that's different other than the head with it's external manifold & twin choke carby...) The block/crank/cam etc should be the same

I know some people have used holden pistons in the past, from memory they are close in dinension and gudgeon to top distance. I can't remember which model, but would be an older one, it would be easy to check bore size and then match to a cit piston

Thanks Everyone, I couldn't find anything on the classicparts site that differentiated ID and DS but the price was good..I've added them to my favourites. I have an old Repco engine parts book I will check thru the holdens.

    Yeah,

that'd be in US currency though, so double it then add a sh!tload for postage disappro

They'd probably be cheaper than that from Citroen workshops in Australia
