    Default Leaking hydraulics

Vehice Xantia 1.9 TD 1996, has decided to leak its vulcan's blood into the drivers footwell. Has any one encountered this before, if so what was the fix? Would save me a bit of time ripping the thing to bits!

    Regards

Are you sure it's LHM rather than coolant? Xantia heater cores die after a certain age. There was a long thread on this ages ago, as I recall. The other possibility mentioned at the time was that the LHM tank had been overfilled and was overflowing when the car settled and running inside somehow.

    Odds on it's coolant...

By pass the heater as a temporary fix and that will confirm it...

    Then it's dash out time

If it's the heater matrix dump some BARS stop leaks into the coolant reseviour. Apparanty the new valeo heater cores come with the instructions to use bars leaks ........... (so much for bloody good quality products..... Even when new there admitting "this is going to leak" ).
