    Thanks robo, nice pics...

...somehow brings the car closer to home and reality, as I've only seen pics from overseas. I can't wait to see one in the flesh and on the road. I'll probably get myself flamed here but... it does seem to have a superficial resemblance to a Maxima I know the rear glass in concave and the front is unmistakable with those giant chevrons but there is something in the general shape.

...anyhow, a diesel C6 is definately on my shopping list - alas in about 10 years time

    Cheers

Pics are fantastic considering the horrible lighting you get at motor shows. Well done with no flash. And its good to see the steering wheel on the correct side.

Must admit, I think there is a little of the Audi look from the rear and GB I can almost see what you mean with those tall slab like sides and the roof curve. It looks as though the anti-sink valves have sunk during the show there - she is pretty low, and that prolly makes the sides look even more M!@#$ like.

I'd say a C6 is fifteen years away for me - still haven't enjoyed an XM or C5 yet.

Yes I had a good look at it too the other day - didn't try and get a sit in it tho! One older gentleman was being shown around it at the time, must say I was jealous.

Fortunately they had one with the light interior as it it looks much nicer than the dark which most of their press pix are. Can't really see much resemblance to the Maxima, however. Just remember it looks much better in flesh!

Highlight was almost falling asleep in a top spec C5, with the passenger seat tilted and reclined I didn't want to get out!

    I'm envious!
I'll have to wait for the Sydney show in October to see one in the metal. I've been following the C6 closely in the overseas magazines and I want one, but I think I will only ever be able to afford a second hand one. I think it looks striking in the photos I've seen. Can't wait to see one for real.

I don't doubt the Maxima and C6 will look worlds apart in the flesh, but there certainly are similarities from the pics I've seen.

In the flesh, the C6 was unlike anything I've seen really. Its definately a Citroen, reminded me of the XM actually (but how many companies make such large hatchback style cars?). Looks sensational I reckon.

The centre stack of the interior is very, very disappointing though. So boring. The rest of it looks very nice and plush in there though!

Popped down yesterday to have a look at it. I was quite impressed with it - though I can't see myself ever buying a car that expensive, all the same. The front bit reminds me a little of the XM, whereas the overall look (and especially the concave back window) reminds of the CX. Much better paint than any CX I've ever seen (and hopefully a lot better air conditioning), but the idea was there

Of course we managed to sweet talk the guy into letting us sit in it and paw all over it for a while

The interior was the biggest disappointment especially in light of the Lignange concept, especially that the centre stack has the 407 buttons It's design was actually written off before the C4, so that seems more advanced than the flagship model! I reckon C6 Mk2 is going to be a cracker though!

    Great photos Mark,
I would have gone if I had the chance, but I was in Adelaide this last week.
I'd have a C6 tomorrow, but I could never afford one.

( that's funny, I remember thinking the same way years ago..that I could never afford to even RUN a CX...let alone buy one...and in the end I was fortunate enough to acquire one almost free, thanks to Aussie-Frogs...)

Hopefully I'll win tattslotto...not very likely as I don't play...maybe there'll be one being raffled for a charity at a shopping centre ....soon...hopefully....
    Cheers...George 1/8th.

    Hmm,

Am I the only one who finds the styling - or more specifically, the detailing of the C6 tacky ?

Yes I like the general shape (it does resemble the shape of a CX after all, my favourite Citroen body shape thus far) but the detailing is just too bizare for me - too many sharp little odd angles and gratuitous use of unnecessary detailing, such as the exagerated grill and chevrons at the front, and the odd boot shape.

I just get the feeling that its going to be one of those shapes that not only polarizes peoples opinions right down the middle, but will also look flash and "chic" to begin with but 10 or 15 years down the track will look very dated and tacky...

I guess you can't please everyone... Perhaps if they tone down and redo some of the details for the facelift model I may be convinced otherwise...

It still makes me cringe when I see a brake fluid tank in these new hyrdraulic Citroens... I suppose it has a different fluid, tank, and pump for the power steering too?

I still want one... wonder if you could retrofit proper brakes

Well, I draw your attention to the object roughly stage centre and on the other side of the engine bay:

If it's the windscreen washer bottle it's a tad on the small side...

i saw it there the other day, i think that the most elegant part of the car is acctually the exhaust tips, if you have noticed them, im sure you would agree.they angle down, so you cant see the exit point at all, and its all chrome. mmmmmm, i do love chrome...

Probably both hidden and sealed... you weren't planning to touch our highly developed and almost certainly dangerous except in the hands of our highly trained technical staff hydraulic system, were you sir?
