How many Litres of petrol does an XM V6 exclusive hold, approximately how far will the XM go with a full tank?

All XM's hold 80 L. I would never enjoy commenting to Landcruiser owners on the small size of their vehicle.... Even better to note the lack of ground clearance.

Distance to empty depends on how you drive.

Mine's a V6 12V auto and I get 700 or 800 km on a tankfull. That's with a mix of country town and open road driving. If I tow a trailer it drops to about 600 km.

I have had mine show as little as 8.2l/100km on a decent freeway type run, but...

For straight highway running (eg Sydney to Melbourne via Hume) you are more likely to see 9.2l/100km. On our last year trip to Perth and back the car averaged just on 10.1l/100km (IIRC) and this included a FULLY loaded car with camping gear, aircon most of the way, lots of running around Perth, Nullabor headwinds etc over 11 000km.

Far more economical than Aussie sixes!

Our XM has been known to take up to 90 litres. It often returns 800 kms for this. I have been meaning to work out the economy on a regular basis but haven't got around to it yet.

However you seem to get some visible benefit from shopper dockets when you purchase in excess of $100 worth of fuel

Bit hard to work out my consumption with a duff speedo but I did Adelaide-Melbourne on a bit over half a tank.

Once almost made the same trip on a single tank in my CX, slipstreaming a truck at about 90km/h all the way- joys of being a student.

Not quite sure of the reason for the orginal question but I can't imagine an XM tank not being big enough for any trip.

    regards
