Default Some people make me wanna puke!

Picture the scene. I've just had my tea, an I'm on my way to the pub. I get in my car (the 22TRS) and notice the passenger door mirror is folded in. I get out, go round the other side.....arrrrrrgghhh!!! Some arsehole has driven their car into the side of mine, completely stuffing both the doors, and the front wing, and then throghtfully driven off, leaving me to repair the car, and pick up the tab!!
I just don't inderstand how some people can do that. I hope I never find out who did it, because payback can be such a biatch!!

That's strange, people never crash into my banged up old cars. It's ONLY the cars I've tidied up & painted they damage

Your lucky you weren't out in a freshly painted GTi Turbo

I know, I think that woud almost certainly make me want to kill someone!
The turbo isn't painted yet, I might wait till the weather improves to do that.

It is irritating though, even though I have 2 sets of spare doors, I'll still need to have them sprayed, not to mention just fitting them....all that lovely wiring to trace.
If it were the ZX, they are sooo easy. It's all on a big multi plug. john s

Ouch! sorry to hear about that man!
Did they leave any of their own paint attached to yours? At least you'd know what colour car to look out for. Would the police be any help?
I reckon i'd be both devastated and totally ropeable should anyone try that on me and my car. Did you ask around if anyone saw what happened?

Well here in South Australia if you are a Lawyer who used to be a cop you can get pissed with your mum, speed home killing a cyclist enroute, don't stop and go into hiding 'till you sober up the next day. As long as you tell the court that you had bad memories from being a cop you get off with a small fine.

Of course this sort of thing would never happen would it?

Thanks for your kind words of encouragement everyone.
I found a piece of dark blue plastic bumper, which I assume was from the car that hit my CX. It's a bit pointless telling the police, as unless the crime is heenous (just how do you spell that?) they aren't usually interested.
I'm just thankfull it wasn't the turbo parked outside.

I guess that in London, where they often drop the 'h' in pronouncing words, it would sound more like "anus" which brings us nicely back to the beginning john s

Which brings me back to an earlier point.
I hope you didn't throw away that little piece of blue plastic, and that you carry it with you in your travels.
