    Default Back from Europe

I'm back at work now and our European Odessey is just a memory, but what a memory. Had heaps of fun spotting Citroen's.
And can you believe it when we stayed in an old village Saingon what did I spot but a beautiful black Decapotable (convertible) 1972 DS21 and I have the photos to prove it. I will post them when the camera cable we posted back from Paris arrives.
Back to more mundane matters a mate of mine based in Brisbane is looking at trading in his wife's 5 yo VW beetle. He has been looking at some Gold Pluriel's (any colour as long as its Gold) which according to the dealer were an oversupply to Japan that ended up in Australia, (apparently about 50 in the full shipment) They are 2003 compliance plate. The dealer in Brisbane has 5. The price is $29,000 less trade in on the VW.
Does anyone have any comments on the Pluriel and does the story ring true?
Its the model that can convert to an open top.
    Any comments appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ray

This has been mentioned before on here i think. 29000 sounds like a very cheap cost for such a lot of car. They are great as far as I know. Im hiring one on my xmas journey to France. Will let you all know what I think of them.

There were tales of them leaking and unable to be sorted, featured in some consumer programme on TV, last year I think.

    Possibly the 2003 model year?

I'd check it out before buying.

This was occuring in the UK but Australia has a drought so that shouldnt be an issue.

They even leaked during dry spells, some hyperactive pensioners were washing them.

This will be a real issue then with Australias aging population.
