The Trémery plant in eastern France has announced the production of its one millionth 1.6-liter HDi/TCDi engine, developed during the second phase of the cooperation with Ford Motor Company.Even as PSA Peugeot Citroën and Ford were announcing the fourth phase of their diesel engine cooperation agreement, Trémery, the world’s largest diesel engine plant, was producing its one millionth 1.6-liter HDi/TCDi engine, developed during the second phase of the cooperation agreement.

Equipped with second-generation common-rail technology, the all-aluminum engine weighs just 120 kg, making it easier to fit on a wide range of vehicles. Today, it powers the Peugeot 206, 307 and 407, and the Citroën C3, C4, C5 and Xsara Picasso, as well as a number of cars produced by Ford Motor Co. brands.
