My C3 is a bit new to worry about "authentic"

I have a club sticker on to help with those extra bonus points.

In VW circles, we call that "rat" class.

Yes, the bull bar is held on by rope. Most of the entrants try for a diarama:

I'll go if I can get that day off, which I probably will.
It's a shame I won't have my CX registered yet. Still, it will be fun.
If Peter O is there , like last year I'll be able to see my old DS21 again. This time, I might have the exposure CORRECT in my camera.
    Last years event was fantastic.
    Cheers....George 1/8th.
CX 2400 c-matic...nearly ready to be registered.

    Default changed catering arrangements beware

The little cafe adjacent to the concours ground is closed for renovations
Bring your own lunch, use the BBQ we will provide or something else.

    see you tomorrow.

Unfortunately, due to my Mum's super-show sense I missed the opportunity to clean my car's interior AND I missed the beginning of the show. And I forgot to take my camera.

However, once I got there, it was a pretty good turn out - about 30-40 cars when I was there, including a beautiful bronze LHD SM and I just missed the silver SM. Just gorgeous cars!

Lots of 2CVs, Traction Avants and the lovely DS's - still as beautiful as ever!

Disappointing turnout of modern Cits - if I had entered (which I didn't) I would have come third in my class just by being there, which is no good. We need more modern Cits to come to these events. A single C3 besides me, a C4 from Lance Dixon who wasn't there for judging, and a Xantia. I didn't see any BX's or C5's, but I only got there at midday.

Met up with a few old favorites from the club, and I'm again a fully paid up club member and I returned the DS book I had on loan from the club.

All in all, a good day Hopefully someone will post some photos up - lots of shiny cars.

    thanks,
    Andrew

I was going to turn up ... It was my fathers birthday ... and I have managed to break fracture a bone in one of my feet into 4peices, and chip the bone in the other ... ie: driving and walking is .... er ... interesting

So no faded red CX there today

An impressive turnout, impressive organisation. Well done to Ian & Andrea and the rest of the crew who put it all together. (And thanks to the RACV and DCSI for sponsorship)

Moby made an all too brief appearance, but I was impressed with the standard of the cars, not to mention the variety.

But where were the CX'ers? (Apart from DoubleChevron, excuse above)

Come on all you CX people. They're not a poor relation, they're a real Citroen. I only saw one there! (And I'm qualified to know they're good, I've had two!)

    Cheers, Pottsy

I'm glad that Pottsy and Andrew enjoyed the event. CCOCA put alot of work into organising the event and I'm pleased (and relieved) that it payed off. Thankfully the weather stayed fine. Though I suspect the threat of rain may have detered some people from coming. I also was surprised that there were not more modern Cits there.

Andrew, my white BX and George's silver BX were both there.

One of the the real pleasures from my relatively short time in the Citroen movement is seeing the improvement in the standard of the cars. Not that long ago there were a number of cars that needed much attention. Now so often at events there is a field full of great cars.

I expect there will soon be photos up on the CCOCA website.

    Ian S

Shane what have you done to yourself? There must be a good story there.

I'll be there! Oh, bugger, it was yesterday!

That'd be why I saw a nice black vintage citroen turning left off the freeway off-ramp in Berwick yesterday.

    Bugger,
I missed it too. I would have been there....but I had to work yesterday. Had it been next week it would have been good...that's my next day off.
Maybe Next year.....with my CX on the road too.....
    Cheers....George.

That's because it's the dealer demo car from Lance Dixon. Apparently, it goes like the proverbial - Pete's better half had a trip and came back with a grin a mile wide
