    Default CX Vacuum Advance capsule

    Hi,
If anyone is interested, I have got the name and address of a business in Melbourne that replaces the diaphram in vacuum advance capsules.

I can't vouch for their workmanship yet, cos I've only just sent mine off, but if you have a CX and your vacuum advance is non existent, this may be an option.
The cost is about $90 plus postage, which would recouped fairly quickly in fuel savings.
Can I put the name and address here or am I breaking some rule?

    That sounds fantastic.
Both my 2400s have leaky vacuum capsules.
I had almost given up hope!

    Terry,

Post the details here mate as there's a few wanting that info.

Andy N FWIW, I have now sourced through Ian a distributor body with no cap but with a dodgy vacuum capsule, so if you want it, it's yours.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

Got the Vacuum advance capsule back today, it had been sitting at the post office for a week, came back as good as gold, in fact it was painted gold.
If you do send one to this business, try to get him to not send it COD, see if he will accept a Visa card, as COD adds $12.60 to the price. The price was $60 + $12.60 for the COD.
